Hello, and welcome to Gentle Focus.

This is a small, independent UK-based site about something that doesn’t get talked about enough: how to stay focused and well when you work alone, online, or from home — without burning out, hustling harder, or pretending you’re a robot.

Why “Gentle Focus”?

Most productivity content on the internet has one volume: shouty. Wake at 5 AM. Cold showers. Optimise everything. Squeeze every minute.

That works for some people. It doesn’t work for most of us — and certainly not on the days when our brains just won’t cooperate.

Gentle Focus is the opposite approach. The idea that real, sustainable focus comes from working with your brain rather than against it. From small resets, honest expectations, and genuinely useful tools — not productivity theatre.

Who’s behind it

Gentle Focus is run by a UK-based writer and online business builder. Without going into personal detail, the short version is: I came to online work later in life, after years of physical jobs and being a full-time carer. I know what it’s like to need to retrain yourself, to sit at a screen and feel out of your depth, and to want a calmer way to build something on the internet.

That perspective shapes everything here.
